While you may immediately associate VA with clinical jobs and medical professions, there are numerous nonclinical jobs that keep our facilities running smoothly.
From paperwork to protection, transportation to tidiness, it takes a team of dedicated professionals to provide care for Veterans, whether interacting with Veterans directly or working behind the scenes.
- You’ll find administrative assistants in nearly every department at VA, working to assist leadership and professional staff with clerical duties.
- VA’s food service workers staff our cafeteria environments, setting up stations and serving food to Veterans and visitors.
- Environmental services (EVS) technicians and housekeeping aides can be found mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, washing windows or collecting trash.
- We employ numerous motor vehicle operators to handle our VA fleets, which are made up of cars, vans and trucks of all shapes and sizes.
Not sure if you have the skills or background we need? Given the variety of roles in a VA facility, chances are you do!
